MAF ATCT & Base Building Modernization

PROCON International serves as prime contractor for the modernization of the Midland Airport Traffic Control Tower and Base Building, an active FAA facility controlling air traffic across West Texas and the Permian Basin. The project replaces the tower’s HVAC, roofing, fire detection and electrical systems, restoring operational reliability and extending the service life of a mission-critical national airspace asset. All work is performed within an occupied, fully operational facility and phased to maintain uninterrupted air traffic control services. Funded under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

U.S. Space Force · Design-Build

Crash rated Traffic Control Barriers Replacement

PROCON International serves as prime contractor to the U.S. Space Force for replacement of vehicle barrier systems at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. The work strengthens antiterrorism and force protection at controlled entry points across two installation sites, installing M50/P3 crash-rated electric drop-arm crash beams tested to ASTM F2656, alongside non-crash-rated control arms where screening requirements differ. Scope includes PLC control cabinets and electrical terminations, redundant safety photo sensors, signal lighting, remote operation, manual override, system programming, commissioning and operator training.

USDA Forest Service — Intermountain Region · Prime

Greybull Work Center Renovation

PROCON International serves as prime contractor to the USDA Forest Service, Intermountain Region, for renovation of the Greybull Work Center in Big Horn County, Wyoming. The center is the operating base from which wildland fire response is mounted across the Bighorn National Forest — the Hotshot Office and Shop where crews are dispatched and equipment maintained, and the quarters where those crews live during fire season. The project renovates the office and shop, upgrades crew quarters, and delivers the associated civil work and site utility improvements the facility needs to remain fully serviceable.

Memorial Avenue Irrigation Extension & Turf Rehabilitation

PROCON International serves as prime contractor to the National Park Service, George Washington Memorial Parkway, for irrigation extension and turf rehabilitation along Memorial Avenue, the ceremonial approach to Arlington National Cemetery. The work restores and sustains landscape condition along a corridor of national significance, encompassing approximately 27,500 SF of turf, 13 irrigation zones and 325 spray heads. Directional boring was employed to connect to the cemetery’s existing system without surface disturbance, and operations were sequenced around continuous visitor access and funeral processions.

Child Development Center (CDC) AFB Minot

PROCON International serves as prime contractor to the U.S. Air Force for conversion of Building 164 at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, into a Child Development Center. The facility provides childcare for families stationed at a strategic Air Force installation supporting both bomber and intercontinental ballistic missile missions, where dependable family services underpin readiness and retention. The 11,000 SF renovation replaces civil, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, roofing and communications systems, executed on an active installation through North Dakota winter conditions.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers — Fort Worth District · Prime

Tainter Gate Scaffolding — Lavon Dam

PROCON International serves as prime contractor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, for engineered scaffolding access supporting tainter gate maintenance at Lavon Dam, Texas. Lavon Dam provides flood risk management and water supply for the North Texas region, and its spillway gates cannot be inspected or maintained without safe working access at height over the spillway. PROCON designed and erected suspended scaffolding 40 feet in height and 50 feet wide at each gate, on both faces.
